Biography
James Amano is Senior Director, EHS, at SEMI. After leading the SEMI International Standards Program for nearly 10 years, he successfully launched the SEMI Sustainability Initiative in 2021, and is now focused on EHS regulatory matters. Before joining SEMI, he worked as the Silicon Valley sales engineer for Matsusada Precision and as a trade specialist for the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). He holds degrees in Economics and Environmental Conservation from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Biography
Angelika Niebler studied law in Munich, Geneva and Edinburgh. After graduating from Ludwig-Maximilian-University in Munich with a law degree and a doctorate in law, Angelika Niebler began her career as a lawyer with Hogan Lovells. She has since worked as a lawyer in various international law firms and is currently Of Counsel at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher. Since 1999, Angelika Niebler is serving as Member of the European Parliament. She is Chairwoman of the Christian Social Union (CSU) Europe Group in the European Parliament as well as Co-Chairwoman of the Christian Democratic Union/Christian Social Union Group in the EPP Group. She is Member of the European Parliament’s Committee on Industry, Research and Energy, which she also chaired some years ago. Further, she is substitute Member of the Legal Affairs Committee and Member of the European Parliament's Delegation to the United States. Angelika Niebler has been Deputy Party Chair of the CSU since 2015. Besides, as Honorary Professor, she is lecturing at the Faculty of Business management of the University of Applied Sciences in Munich since 2016. In 2018, she was elected as President of the Bavarian Economic Advisory Council. Angelika Niebler has been honoured in 2008 with the European Medal of the Free State of Bavaria, in 2010 with the Bavarian Constitutional Medal in Silver, in 2011 with the Bavarian Order of Merit and in 2017 with the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Biography
Stefano Ramundo Orlando is a young professional working in the heart of Brusses, with an in-depth knowledge and experience with the legislative processes and internal dynamics of the EU institutions, particularly regarding the EU policy approaches towards issues related to trade, industry and innovation. Since 2023, in his role of Advocacy Manager, Mr Ramundo Orlando has been responsible for the management and execution of policy actions in Brussels, on behalf of SEMI Europe. Having worked at the forefront of EU policymaking since 2019, either on behalf of private consultancies (Development Solutions Ltd and Europa Analytica) or industry associations (CECIMO), Mr Ramundo Orlando has developed a successful track record in dealing with institutional and public relations, events organization and stakeholder management.

    Supika MashiroSr. Expert/ Development Strategic Dept., Tokyo Electron LTD.Ms. Mashiro started to take part in SEMI Standard activities in EH&S from 1997. Since 2001, she’s been serving as a co-chair for Japan Chapter of EH&S global Technical Committee. She received International Collaboration Award and Karel Urbanek Award for her contribution to SEMI Standards in 2001’ and 2006’ respectively.In addition to SEMI Standards, she has been involved in SEMI EHS regulatory advocacy activities since 2006, when EU RoHS Directive became effective, to develop whitepaper for the semiconductor manufacturing equipment suppliers and their supply chain. She has been an active contributor to various SEMI EHS WGs including PFAS WG.

    Martijn BeekmanPolicy Officer, DG Grow, European CommissionSince 2022, Mr Beekman is responsible for the PFAS related REACH restriction proposals at the European Commission, DG Grow. From 2001, he was involved in the Dutch national and international chemical policy - initially at the Ministry of Environment and later within the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM). From 2016 till 2020, he was head of the Dutch Bureau REACH and CLP and responsible for -among others- substance evaluation, restriction and authorization dossiers in the Netherlands. He was educated in environmental chemistry at the University of Utrecht.
